A warm welcome!

The Peter Mayr Project (PMP) has been around since 1979, when the band made its debut at the Orpheum in Graz, Austria, and was immediately booked for studio work in Munich, Germany.

The band’s musical style can best be described as jazz rock (fusion). Furthermore, the PMP musicians love to develop instrumental soundscapes. PMP always plays live – and enjoys incorporating elements of surprise.

The bandleader, PETER MAYR, has been active across Europe for decades with his projects, both as a studio musician and on stage. In Spain, he enjoys a high profile as the keyboardist for the cult band Ñu. International stars such as JOHN MEDESKI, AL KOOPER (Blood Sweat and Tears), MICK TAYLOR (Rolling Stones) and THE BLUES BROTHERS are keen to book the Hammond specialist for their European tours. Peter Mayr has played several concerts in Austria and Spain with IAN PAICE (Deep Purple).

The band’s top-class line-up consists of a core group of musicians who perform depending on the production and style. In Spain, the line-up may differ in some respects from that in Austria or Germany. In addition, there are a number of outstanding guest musicians who are always happy to join in.

The band has played to large audiences in Spain, Switzerland, Germany and Croatia, but also enjoys performing in small clubs for their special atmosphere.
